I thought the tests in use now were only 71% accurate and that the rapid tests were even less accurate...

98.8-100% accuracy for negative result. A little lower for pos result. In other words better at labeling you neg & means more confidence letting you go to a cold Quarantine Hotel or letting Aust flight isolate at home (currently with no test!) & hotel letting staff go home.

Hmmmm and yet the rapid test that has been developed by a Queensland company - “Ellume” was rejected by the Federal Government. Ellume, who have now entered into an exclusive agreement with the USA. Approved by FDA today. Why aren’t we talking about this???? Outrageous.

Govt only listens to what they want to listen to. I'm beginning to think HQ system is about keeping hotels afloat & the economy. If #COVID19 is as deadly as they say why are we waiting so long to vaccinate people? Let's get this country opened up to the world @GregHuntMP #auspol
