Dr. Fauci says life may not return to normal for some time even after we get a vaccine depending on its effectiveness. He stressed that we will need to follow public health measures as well to fully thwart the virus

Will vaccine help those already sick with virus? If not, then before vaccination, won't it be necessary to test/detect all asymptomatic cases?

I agree with @MackayIM Also Phase 3 trials will answer if those recovered from covid do poorly with a vaccine and if elderly need a different vaccine to aid their immune response. 馃
