20-34 year olds disproportionally represented in Vic COVID-19 cases. Vic curfew tough while aiming to protect them from COVID & possible long term ill health by reducing the higher number of social contacts this age group have than older groups. Thinking of you ❤️

How do you think this will go with stage 4 restrictions?

I asssme this age group is naturally more socially interactive so higher potential for cross-infection & a possible reservoir fueling unintentional transmission. Restrictions + understanding demographics & behaviour important in stemming uncontrolled transmission. 🤞for Vic.

To really know for sure we need to see the breakdown of age groups actually getting tested as well.

Remind me again who are likely to die from COVID?

This is fascinating! Thanks for sharing. Can I ask where the data is from please — I would like to use it but should cite the primary source.

Do you think this is driven by occupations or ppl socialising? Have you seen the linelist of these infections?

Case numbers mean diddly. Look at who's in ICU and who's dying.
Not fair to suggest the higher infection rate is due to illegal social gatherings - this age group is more likely to work in jobs serving the public and is at higher risk of exposure.

Really? The demographic most likely to have no savings and unstable part-time or casual work is the one most likely to contract COVID? Who would have thunk it?
