If people are told to get tested then damn well get tested. If you refuse then you should be fined. The person in the Northern suburbs who owns the coffee shop encouraging hugging etc needs a smack in the head.

What does a mask do? Blocks respiratory droplets coming from your mouth and throat. Two simple demos: First, I sneezed, sang, talked & coughed toward an agar culture plate with or without a mask. Bacteria colonies show where droplets landed. A mask blocks virtually all of them.

Thank you! It’s so confusing given the message on masks in the US. I just don’t get why we’re not advised to wear them here given the positive evidence of the effectiveness of masks in stemming the spread of covid19.

This advice should be Australia wide. The virus is still out there and every state is at risk of outbreaks. Taiwan has a lot better result than us & still have their guard up MASKS aren't invasive & restrict the spread. #CMO is compromised & running cover for Govt. WEAR MASKS
