We get fixated about P2 masks etc for airborne viruses. But when tested in real world clinical practice, these much more expensive masks don't work any better than standard masks. Real value of masks might be in stopping us touching our noses and mouth. bbc.co.uk/news/amp/health-51…

Indeed Peter! See Gralton et al during pandemic plan. surgical mask work well (except AGPs). P2 occurred after cluster of HCWs acquired multiresistant TB and not declared was some were HIV+ and noone knew if cluster put mask on in the room not outside.
