The #COVIDー19 virus can live on surfaces such as wood or stainless steel 24 hours or more. It is sensitive to disinfectants. So wipe those surfaces down, with a solution that’s 62% to 72% ethanol, .5% hydrogen peroxide, or 0.1% sodium hypochlorite #coronavirusaustralia

Social distancing - 1m,1.5m,2m,2.5m...? Lets do the science: 1960s 1m rule for droplet spread based on smallpox. 1940s flu spread 2.6m in lab. 1m rule for droplet disputed after SARS. USA now use 2-3m rule. Conclusion, COVID-19 distance not known, max distance better

Time to ramp up efforts. Better/enforced social distancing, testing all high risk groups (e.g. cruises), IT tracking for imposed isolation, close schools. #coronavirusau #COVID19Aus #auspol #ausbiz #wapol #nswpol #taspol #qldpol #Ntpol #sapol #vicpol

Lets do the maths: doubling on track every 3 days, no where near flattening out where doubling slows at every 6+days. Conclusion: Time to up efforts. Better/enforced social distancing, testing all high risk groups (e.g. cruises), IT tracking for imposed isolation, close schools.

Let’s do the maths: Monday approx 1,500 cases, Thurs 3,000 and so on. Full border lockdown is good but late; infected need support and monitoring. Home care for mild cases will increase the spread. Time for dedicated hospitals to reduce spread. #coronavirusaustralia #COVID19Aus

#COVIDー19 is spread in the “droplets” of an infected person. These spread from the mouth outwards and then drop to the floor. One sneeze may produce up to 40,000 droplets.

Self-isolation for travellers and patients with mild COVID-19 is only as good as their compliance. Hong Kong has introduced electronic wristband for tracking.
Hong Kong will provide everyone arriving in the city an electronic wristband to monitor and enforce its quarantine efforts during the coronavirus outbreak. Smart monitoring and enforcement. usnews.com/news/world-report…
