Premier Su Tseng-chang 蘇貞昌 @eballgogogo has just become the longest serving Premier in Taiwan's history since democratisation. Under his leadership, Taiwan has been able to grow our export to record-high, increase wages & reduce unemployment, and keep covid at bay.

Just had a meeting with NDC Minister Kung 🇹🇼 We recognise & value the Taiwanese investment plans in Lithuania 🇱🇹 Now it is very important to have a clear agenda that would lead to tangible results. Looking forward to the next steps!
Hier, j'ai rencontré le ministre John Deng, où nous avons convenu d'entamer des discussions en vue d'un éventuel arrangement de promotion et de protection des investissements étrangers (APIE) entre le Canada et Taïwan.

Urban combat is Taiwan's top priority as we continue to strengthen Taiwan's defense in depth. This also requires us to take whole-of-society approach to build and maintain operational readiness in a conflict.🇹🇼
FM @GLandsbergis: Frank talk w/@AmbassadorTai. We are grateful for the #US commitment to working w/the #EU to address coercive diplomatic&economic behavior. We are standing united, as like-minded partners, in sustaining our values & principles in the face of any kind of coercion.
It was great to speak with Minister @GLandsbergis today. I expressed the U.S.' continuing strong support for Lithuania in the face of economic coercion from the PRC. We also discussed ways to strengthen our trans-Atlantic partnership and promote our jointly-held values.

Touched base with 🇱🇹 PM @IngridaSimonyte on topical issues at the beginning of the year:

• The situation at the border with Belarus
• Supporting 🇱🇹 in addressing current trade irritants with China
💬"The Lithuanian-Taiwanese mutual plans to exchange representative offices do not themselves signify something extraordinary, as many fellow EU & other Western countries have done essentially the same", - says Dr. Konstantinas Andrijauskas in #LFPR2021. 🔗lfpr.lt/
Yes, everything happened in China must be coincidence. Uyghurs happened to walk into a concentration camps. Hong Kong media happened to be arrested and disbanded.
Only the friendship between Lithuania and Taiwan is established through the efforts of both parties.
