In addition to trade, Taiwan and the US can and should do more on education exchanges, particularly at the local/state level. Specifically this means more english language teachers coming to Taiwan and more Chinese language teachers going to the US.
During my first international trade mission, I signed an executive order establishing a Virginia-Taiwan trade office.
This is Virginia's fourth international trade office & represents our enduring commitment to foster collaboration in this region & enhance our ties with Taiwan.
