I applaud President Tsai @iingwen's decision to extend the conscription to 1 year. I'm thrilled to learn that under the new plan conscripts will be trained on how to use advanced asymmetric weapons, such as man-portable missiles and UAVs.

These could stop landing crafts
What kind of person thinks a conscript will learn to operate advanced weapons in a year? Unless you skipping bootcamp and shooting and basically normal military training?

Difficult but super necessary. Taiwanese need to protect their own country and not relying on others. Bravo President Tsai!

You are thrilled of course bc you are not in the frontlines. Conscripts are not thrilled to die. 😪

頑張れ~❤️🇹🇼台湾❗✌️
I've been saying for 6 months, the Taiwanese need to load up on portable truck driven anti-ship missile systems and loads and loads of MANPADS. China can attack if they want but they still have to transport troops by either air or sea 100 miles.

They will get to watch videos then take a test on how to operate. If they do not score perfect, their salary will be deducted by NT$1000 per point plus one extra hour of sanding and/or painting. That is all the training they will receive.
