Absent a multilateral economic framework to support economies being coerced by China, we r not going to be able to compete effectively w/ China, let along shaping int'l order in our favour. Lithuania is a test for China, but more so for all of us who believe in democratic values.

It is too NAIVE to think that countries like Lithuania stand together with Taiwan because they are lovers of democracy... As Chinese I worked too many times for Eastern Europeans (including Germany) and believe me, in their eyes, Taiwan or mainland China are more or less the same
