Taiwan is closely monitoring the deteriorating situation in Ukraine. We can't sit on the sidelines while a big power bullies a small neighbour. I'm encouraged to learn that our government is ready to impose economic sanctions on Russia alongside like-minded allies & partners.🇹🇼🇺🇦

Singapore, Japan, and Taiwan have signed on for restrictive export controls on tech-starved Russia over a further Ukraine invasion.

I commend the European Union for making the decision to file a WTO case against China for targeting Lithuania. This is a necessary step but it's not enough. We have to use every tool at our disposal to push back against China's economic coercion. 🇹🇼🇱🇹🇪🇺
