Our diplomats devote their lives to our country. During the pandemic, they are doing their job in the most difficult circumstances. Today, I urged the Taiwan govt to do everything we can to assist & ensure the safety of our diplomats in India & other COVID-19 high-risk countries.

I met with Vice Defense Minister Chang Che-ping (張哲平) to discuss the need to continue to upgrade Taiwan's capabilities in cyberspace & electromagnetic spectrum as China intensifies its electronic and cyber warfare capabilities.

On #WorldPressFreedomDay, we celebrate the fundamental principles of press freedom & recognise the important role journalists play in our democracy. Let us recommit to protecting and defending free and open media systems in Taiwan and around the world.

During the meeting with Vice Minister Miguel Li-jey Tsao 曹立傑, I demanded that we send necessary medical aid to India as soon as possible to support India's fight against COVID-19. I'm pleased to learn that Taiwan will send oxygen concentrators to India in the coming days. 🇹🇼🇮🇳
