Happy to be corrected here, but I think the Prime Minister's comment on CP-TPP and Taiwan is factually wrong. Sovereign state status isn't a prerequisite for joining the CP-TPP. Article 5 of the CP-TPP seems to makes it clear it's open to any state "separate customs territory"
