That is a freaking lie. The vote was to let legal residents who aren’t citizens to vote in local elections. They pay local income and property taxes. Why shouldn’t they vote.

Non-citizens do not vote in Federal elections. Non-citizens should be allowed to vote in local elections that directly impact the community in which they live.

Lies yet again. It was a resolution against a D.C. bill to allow noncitizen voting for mayor and city council in D.C. Non-citizens are not “illegal aliens”. Majority are students and other working, all of whom are paying taxes. It is pathetic that you choose to continue lying.

Another day, another ridiculous distortion designed to radicalize the low-information pawns in GQP’s war on common sense.

So if people live there, pay taxes there and support the businesses there, you don't think ghey should have a say in their government?

Please stop lying! What you are claiming isn't the truth! Green card holders pay more in taxes then the wealthy so why shouldn't they vote?

I agree with you, although I'm a proud immigrant myself. It took three years for me to come to the USA and five years to become a citizen of the USA. I went to college and learn about the USA's history and government and I vote based on my knowledge.

And only Americans should donate to political campaigns! How about you pen your very first piece of legislation on that one?
