Jim, I worked on the PGSS program in Afghanistan. I can tell you that these assets are NOT more expensive than drones or satellite time. A tethered aerostat is the best platform to use because of time on station. This will undoubtedly cost taxpayers more and make missions for border agents more dangerous without the real time intelligence. Please try to stop these morons from doing this.
