Because the 1st Amendment has nothing to do with private business. When Air America went off the air, liberals didn't whine it was a conspiracy. Business isn't welfare. If OANN had an audience that justified its demanded fees, it would still be on the air. But it didn't.

Please explain which government agency has prevented this news site from reporting the news. This is a huge story. How did they do this? Oh wait no arm of the government has prevented them from engaging in protected speech. You're just confused on how the First Amendment works.

The first amendment doesn't exist. None of you fight for it. Let's stop the malarkey. With all due respect, the government wipes it's a$$ with our Constitution and hardly anyone acknowledges this.

How can you Chair any congressional committee after asking for a presidential pardon to overturn an election?

2 points Jim, please re-read the first amendment. Second, there is a difference between news and falsehoods.

And my question is: How can we have a "Free Press," when a half-dozen super-rich megacorporations have spent hundreds of billions of dollars to buy it?

Gym, the 1st Amendment deals with GOVERNMENT abridgement of the freedom of speech. NOT corporate decisions affecting their profitability. And since when has the .@GOP decided corporate profits don't trump all other considerations? #GOPClownShowContinues #MSNBC #CBC #BBC
