It took me 10 years to payoff my student loan. I’m proud I did.
But todays student loans aren’t like mine was: tuition, school fees and interest rates are much higher.
I’m hoping President Biden will advocate for 0-1% interest rate and maybe a chunk of the principle be forgiven.
Giving yourself away here, jim: no compassion for others unless and until you benefit personally. Fortunately, there are plenty of us who cheer relief for fellow citizens. I think you may be in the wrong line of work.
I put myself through college, Jim! Graduated in 1992. Paid it all myself because it was AFFORDABLE. What a concept!
And present day, I don't mind others getting relief because I know it's not affordable any more.

Would struggling to off the debt that was taken on for my education be considered privilege? Or is that why my son doesn't qualify for new loans for his education?
We are done with payments, so we already don't have to worry about them anymore and can be happy that it is easier for others.
Do you get mad at Valpak when coupons come in the mail for something you already bought?
What about them? If we don’t want to help our future generations because people who came before us had it harder, how can we ever get better as a society?
