The WHO may not be perfect, but they have done some great things over the years and will continue to. Health is a worldwide issue, it affects all countries. We need to be "in the know" with global health issues.

Jim, the WHO may have erred (unlike you who had no idea the athletes under your care were being sexually abused) but they are still incredibly knowledgeable people. I'm not suggesting we blindly follow their advice, but why would we not at least listen/be at the table? Think.
