New rule proposed by House Democrats: Members can’t share anything on social media that’s been “distorted or manipulated.” Who’s making that call? Liberal fact-checkers? Give me a break.

Because heaven forbid elected officials be held to a standard of dealing with and sharing facts as they are and accurate information instead of sharing false or misleading content to further their own agenda, Gym.

I would add, if it determined any member is spreading distorted / manipulated info .... they should be removed from office immediately. I realize this means 99% of Republican members would be gone in the next week.

You should be jobless, homeless, hungry & not have anyone to turn to like so many Americans are right now. Then you wouldn't pis* & moan about things like this.

I agree with their rule. FACTS are identifiable. Trump el al. are lying claiming they aren't. Opinions are fine. But X happened that didn't, is called a LIE. Faked video - is a LIE. There are people who don't care about party but care about truth. And can judge.

Nobody would be thinking of such a rule if the GOP hadn't made disinformation a central part of their plan to seize power over the majority.
