Ari Ben-Dror from @GoodFoodInst-Israel highlighted how the foodtech industry represents an opportunity in addressing global challenges such as climate change and depleting resources. Ronit Eshel @ISRLInnovation drew a picture of the growing foodtech ecosystem in #Israel, which is the world's second in terms of investment. The strategic support of the government, in cooperation with the private sector and academia, is a key factor in the success of this industry. Today marks nine years since LT Hadar Goldin was killed in combat in Gaza and his body taken hostage by Hamas, during a ceasefire brokered by the international communitee. For nine years, the terrorist organization has held LT Goldin and First Sergeant Oron Shaul’s bodies captive. The international community must act to end this humanitarian travesty and return both boys to their families so that they can be laid to rest. This is a religious and moral duty. The international community should also act to free Israeli citizens, Avera Mengistu and Hisham al- Sayed who are also being held captive by the terrorist organization in Gaza.
