(2) As Kabul fell, the #Taliban imposed severe restrictions on women and girls rights, suppressed the media and arbitrarily detained, tortured, and murdered critics and opponents. Israel is extremely concerned regarding the rights of #LGBT persons in Afghanistan.

(3) Israel is also extremely concerned about the situation of #women and #girls in Afghanistan. A year on from the Taliban takeover, the women and girls of Afghanistan’s worst fears have sadly become reality.

(4) The women of Afghanistan do not deserve to be imprisoned in their homes, without work or education. They do not deserve to be oppressed and erased from society. ❌850,000 girls out of school ❌61 percent of women have lost their jobs ❌ Women Human Rights Defenders Attacked.
