1/7 Our response to High Commissioner @mbachelet's statement🧵 The death of #civilians during conflicts, including of #children, is tragic.

2/7 In her statement, the HC fails to indicate that it was 1100+ rockets that were launched towards Israel. She also fails to highlight the real damage caused by the 200+ rockets fired by the Islamic Jihad that landed in Gaza: the death of at least 11 civilians, incl. 7 children.

3/7 Palestinian terrorists use civilians and civilian infrastructures to launch indiscriminate attacks on the Israeli population. This is a double war crime and should be condemned by all.

4/7 We would also like to assist with the status of the fatalities that “remain undetermined”, according to OHCHR. Here are their names ⤵️

5/7 These are terrorists, backed by the Iranian regime. Simple as that. They seek to kill as many innocent people as possible, and do not care about collateral damage or the deaths of Palestinians or Israelis alike.

6/7 To end the impunity Hamas, Islamic Jihad and other Palestinian terrorist groups enjoy, the High Commissioner and her Office should start by clearly naming and condemning them.
