On the 15th of March, 2011, #Syrian civilians took to the streets demanding democratic reforms and a better life. These civilians were met with bullets. They were met with torture. They were met by the Syrian government who knows no limits. #HRC50

Yet, deaths only tell part of the story. The Syrian government has detained hundreds of thousands more innocent people. In detention, civilians as young as 11 have faced systemic violence, including rape and torture. #HRC50
