Regardless of the session today, Israel will continue to facilitate humanitarian aid, to strengthen existing medical capacities, and to work with all partners to address the health needs to the Palestinian population. Israel will continue to fight terrorism and we will defeat Hamas. We will bring our hostages home. We will bring baby Kfir and Ariel home.
The families of the hostages, the people of Israel, the Government of Israel, cannot accept a decision of @WHO that does not address the plight of the hostages and their medical condition. As far as the text of this decision - they do not even exist. Dynamics of negotiations are irrelevant. The desire to reach a consensus at all costs, including by ignoring the hostage situation, is simply unacceptable. This represents a moral failure of this body.

As evidenced today @WHO , 75 years on, the Jewish people are still under attack, still enduring the brutality of antisemitism, and the delegitimization of the only Jewish State.   Today’s session of the executive board is the only special session ever convened on a specific conflict. No special session was called on the health situation in Syria, Yemen, Sudan and many other conflicts around the world.   Do the victims of these conflicts matter less or does the world play by a different rulebook when it comes to Israel?

Today, the Executive Board of the @WHO is meeting in Geneva for the very first time to discuss a specific regional situation. Will they address #Hamas’ use of #Hospitals as terror bases? Will they condemn the use of civilians as #human shields? Will they condemn Hamas for the #October7massacre? Will they call for the release of all #hostages or their medical needs? The answer is simple. No.

As we will be lighting the 2nd candle of #Hanukka tonight, we remember the 138 hostages still in Gaza. One of them is Itai (38), who came to visit his parents in Kibbutz Beeri on October 7 and was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists. We pray and act for the return of all hostages.
Itai Svirsky is 38 years old, with degrees in psychology and economics, and has recently begun coaching Satya, a holistic program for personal development. Itai lives in Tel Aviv but was visiting his parents in Kibbutz Be’eri on that deadly Saturday October 7th, when their reunion turned into a parting. While Itai is being held hostage in Gaza, his parents Orit Sela-Svirsky and Rafi Svirsky who were murdered in their home, were buried. There has been no contact with Itai and he is classified as a hostage. Itai, a sensitive and wonderful man, smart and modest, we are waiting to see you here back home, surrounded by family and friends. #BringThemHomeNow #wewillnotstopuntiltheyareback

Hanukkah is all about the resilience of the Jewish people. It’s about the victory of light over darkness. This Hanukkah, is a difficult one, but Jewish history has taught us one thing. We will prevail. As we light the candles, we pray for the return of our hostages and the safety of our men and women in uniform. #happyhanukkah

Emilia Alony went to the kindergarten today for the first time after being released from Hamas captivity. 137 hostages are still been held by Hamas, all of them need to be released now.

For Hamas, releasing hostages was nothing but a propaganda opportunity. @IsraelMOH officials confirm that Hamas drugged freed hostages to make them seem calm and happy. timesofisrael.com/liveblog_e…

"Hamas terrorists even documented their war crimes. And still, most of women organizations are silent." A message from the heart coming from "Brave Miss World" Linor Abargil, a rape survivor and a global advocate against sexual violence, who addressed the @UN yesterday in NY.

WARNING: Graphic descriptions "She is naked. And he cuts her breast. He throws it on the road. They are playing with it." Yesterday, @IsraelinUN presented unique first-hand testimonies of some of the horrific sexual violence committed by Hamas terrorists on October 7.

World renown Prof. Catharine MacKinnon shared @UNgeneva her analysis of the applicability of international law to the crimes committed by Hamas terrorists on October 7. War Crimes. Crimes against Humanity. Genocide. Persecution. Extract: "The severe deprivation of physical liberty appears also to have occurred, in connection with sexual atrocities. Rape and other crimes of sexual violence, inhumane acts intentionally causing great suffering, seems the most prominent rubric that was documented to us this morning." Warning: the descriptions in this video are graphic. "Our team commander saw several female soldiers who were shot in the crotch, in intimate areas, in their vaginas. Or they were shot in their breast. There seemed to be systematic genital mutilation of a group of victims." Harrowing testimony by Sheri Mendes, a volunteer sharing her testimony @UNGeneva, on her experience at the Shura @IDF Base, Israel, where all of the victims of the Hamas massacre have been sent. As we mark #16DaysOfActivism, those who claim to fight against gender-based violence, must speak out in support of Israeli victims.
