This is the St. Mary’s Greek-Orthodox Church of Iqrit, in Israel. On 26 December, a day after Christmas, Hezbollah fired an anti-tank missile at the Church, partially destroying it and injuring an 80 year old civilian. They later fired another missile, targeting the soldiers who came to rescue the civilian. Here's the (Hezbollah captured and published) video. Hezbollah is no different than Hamas. It targets Israeli civilians and places of worship, while using Lebanon civilian infrastructure as shield. For months now, Hezbollah has been shelling the North of Israel, forcing tens of thousands to leave their communities. This has to stop. The @IDF will continue to act against any threats!

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of 🇮🇱Ambassador Itzhak Levanon z'l, who served as Israel's Ambassador in Geneva between 2004-2008. For nearly 40 years, Ambassador Levanon proudly represented our country across the world. Born in 1944 in Beirut, from where he was expelled with his family after his mother was arrested and tortured for facilitating the emigration of Jews to Israel, Itzhak Levanon last served as Israel's Ambassador to Egypt (2009-2011), fulfilling his dream of fostering close ties with our Arab neighbours. Today, our thoughts are with his family. May his memory be a blessing.

What does OHCHR consider a trustworthy source of information? A Hamas propaganda organization, which routinely spreads misinformation, blood libel, and endorses October 7 attacks on Israel and civilians. One that rejoices at Hamas bloodthirsty October 7 terrorist attacks as "amazing", one that considers the men who raped, burnt families alive and kidnapped toddlers as "heroic knights who created for us pure glory," one that spends its time whitewashing Hamas crimes and calls for "Israel's end". @UNHumanRights' latest statement is further revealing how they are operating, with one goal alone: use the UN perceived "credibility" to attack Israel.

The allegations made by the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights are unfounded and devoid of truth. The IDF has carried out an investigation into the claims based on the information made public and has no record of any operation, nor incident, in the Al Remal neighbourhood in Gaza City that would support any of the allegations put forward by OHCHR. The fact that the United Nations publicly shares unverified and unsubstantiated claims made by NGOs is nothing but blood libel. This is yet further evidence of the partisan and prejudiced approach of OHCHR when it comes to Israel and part of a concerning trend of publishing unverified information. We call on High Commissioner Volker Türk to publicly withdraw the accusations made by his office. Israel is committed to the respect of its international obligations, and forcefully rejects any allegations of extrajudicial killings. We will continue to investigate any serious claims brought to Israel's attention.
