These three cities are in Israel - calling them otherwise represents a clear denial of Israel’s territorial integrity and its right to exist. These ancient cities have deep-rooted ties with the Jewish people spanning millennia, and attempts to label them as "Palestinian" also represent a blatant endeavor to undermine Israel's sovereignty and its peoples’ historical connection to these lands. Yesterday, we wrote to @UN_Valovaya to express our dismay about the systemic misuse of @UNGeneva to spread propaganda and misinformation against Israel over the past few weeks. Israel has doubled its capacity to inspect aid trucks for Hamas smuggling, and it wasn’t anywhere near full capacity anyway. If there’s a backlog in delivering that aid, the address is not us.

The bodies of Eden Zakaria and CSM Ziv Dado, who were taken hostage by Hamas terrorists on Oct 7, have been recovered by our Special Forces. 27-year-old Eden was taken hostage from the Re’im music festival. 36-year-old CSM Ziv served as a logistics supervisor in the Golani Brigade’s 51st Battalion. Locating the missing and bringing the hostages home is a national mission. We are working with all security agencies, intelligence and operational means to fulfill it. 1/2

This morning, the first batch of humanitarian aid trucks underwent inspection at Kerem Shalom and is now en route to the Rafah Crossing. This crucial step is set to expand the volume of aid reaching Gaza. We trust the @UN did all the adjustments to receive and distribute the aid.

Today at #HumanRights75, Rachel was seated behind me. A mother grappling with unimaginable pain. Her only son, Hersh Goldberg-Polin, a civilian, was attending a musical festival when Hamas terrorists descended upon it on the morning of October 7th. Despite the hatred on display today, our determination knows no bounds. Our resolve has no limits. With the anguish of Rachel and the countless families weighing heavy on our hearts, we will do all we can to bring Hersh and other 137 hostages back home.

Upon returning home, after 7 weeks in captivity, Mia tattooed the phrase "we will dance again" on her arm. In a post on Instagram she wrote: "We will never forget 7.10.23. As we will be lighting the 5th candle of #Hanukka tonight, we remember the 138 hostages still in Gaza. One of them is Guy (22), who went to the music festival on October 7 and was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists. We pray and act for the return of all hostages.

Nowhere to hide for Hamas terrorists in the EU. We welcome the call by France, Italy and Germany for sanctions against Hamas as a key tool in the fight against terrorism and a resolute expression of solidarity with the State of Israel. In a letter to EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell, the foreign ministers of the bloc's three biggest countries said it was important the EU take "all necessary measures against the terrorist group Hamas and its supporters". "This implies a stronger European commitment both to combating Hamas' infrastructure and financial support, and to isolating and delegitimising Hamas internationally, which in no way represents the Palestinians or their legitimate aspirations," said the letter. Hamas is already listed by the European Union as a terrorist organisation, meaning any funds or assets that it has in the EU should be frozen.

On October 7, #Hamas tortured, raped, murdered, and abducted the people of Israel. These attacks have also led to a global rise in antisemitism. Today at #HumanRights75, Israel pledged to :   1️⃣ - Continue to protect the right to life, in fulfilment of its responsibility to protect its population by fighting terrorist organizations who actively promote arbitrary depravation of life, and murder with genocidal intent.   2️⃣ - Continue its fight against antisemitism including through combatting hate speech and misinformation and continuing to promote a structural change within the @UN system, to address the widespread antisemitic discourse and actions by staff, officials and experts. Hatred and Evil must never prevail.

Israel is under daily rockets attack. Hamas has launched thousands of rockets since #October7massacre, firing every day indiscriminately.

Regardless of the session today, Israel will continue to facilitate humanitarian aid, to strengthen existing medical capacities, and to work with all partners to address the health needs to the Palestinian population. Israel will continue to fight terrorism and we will defeat Hamas. We will bring our hostages home. We will bring baby Kfir and Ariel home.
