It took 50 days and a massive pressure campaign to get @UN_Women to release this weak statement about the rapes, abuse and mutilations of Israeli women and girls.
I have represented Israel at the @UN for over 3 years, campaigning against violence against women, and I still can't believe the international community would be so quick to abandon my people.
.@UN_Women has limited responses to their tweets, so we can’t hold them accountable for dismissing the rape, murder and torture of HUNDREDS of Israeli women.
Un Women is an embarrassment to women everywhere.

We have completed preparations to receive the released hostages upon their return to Israel from Gaza.
In coordination with government ministries and security authorities, we have prepared to quickly receive the released hostages and give them all the necessary support.
We have readied several locations dedicated to their initial reception, which include the necessary medical provisions. After the initial reception and medical treatment, they will continue to hospitals where they’ll be reunited with their families.

More than a month and a half since the terrible massacre of October 7, and the stories of the horrors continue to be revealed. More and more it becomes clear that the rape, abuse, murder and kidnapping of women were premeditated and intentionally cruel.
Women's organizations around the world continue to remain silent in the face of Hamas' crimes - and in their deafening silence, they betray all the principles on which they were founded, and thus betray women wherever they are.
