1100+ rockets were indiscriminately fired at Israel by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad over the past days. One of those rockets hit the Erez Crossing, where thousands of Gazans cross into Israel daily for work. Another rocket hit a factory in a village in Israel, injuring Palestinian worker Ahmed Abu Gabe from Gaza. He died from his wounds hours ago. By shooting at the crossing and continuing to attack Israel, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad threatens the lives of millions of Israelis and Palestinians alike.

This week, Iran was rewarded for subjugating women, limiting minorities' rights, violently suppressing opposition and banning social media. The prize: the Iranian Ambassador was appointed Chair of the 2023 @UN_HRC Social Forum which will focus on "the contribution of science, technology and innovation to the promotion of human right". I wrote to the President of the HRC to share my concern! This appointment is another stain on the United Nations and an insult to the thousands of victims of the Iranian regime.
