This is one of our favorite photographs ever. The deer below, which was born in the @BibicalZoo in 2015 & released into the wild in 2017, was spotted peacefully strolling in the mountains of Jerusalem🦌. 📷 @risbyraz

In the last few years, several deer have been released back into the wild through a project between the @Bibicalzoo & the Israel Nature and Parks Authority which aims to return these beautiful creatures back to their natural habitat a century after they disappeared. 📸 Amy Katz
