.@patrick_barkham discards are a very important part of this change, nitter.vloup.ch/Alexander_Lees/s… populations historically buoyed up even as stocks depleted.
Populations of half of the declining species (4 gulls + Fulmar) likely historically inflated by fisheries discards onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/… and the Isles of Scilly also now getting closer to the thermal niche range edge of many species too...
