Nature managed by #IndigenousPeoples & local communities is under increasing pressure. Nature is generally declining less rapidly in indigenous peoples’ lands than in other lands but it is still declining, as is the knowledge of how to manage it. What can we do #ForNature?🌿🐸

Agreed! Climate action, including engagement with #voluntarycarbonmarkets, must have the voice and rights of Indigenous Peoples at the heart so that approaches are inclusive and trust is built across communities.

We could start by restricting the ability of political leaders to be able to concentrate power in their own hands & ensure political checks & balances are facilitated early on. Rule of law is important, but what’s the use if it supports economy but disrespects laws of nature?
