The IPCC has no idea what is going to happen, lol. They are a joke. What they do know is that we are going to shoot past 2°C based on GHG levels already existing. So any talk of staying within 1.5°C or 2°C is misinformation at a criminal level. From their report:

I heard we are currently trending conservatively to 2.7 degrees increase and 1.8 degrees if every government actually delivers on everything they have promised coming out of COP26. Is the best we can do?
