We need to transform our policies and institutions so that every choice we make supports the rights, health, and wellbeing of people, animals, and the planet and doesn't perpetuate structural violence.
If one is impoverished in Afghanistan with no proper access to world news, the forest is the source of fuel and has a meaning very different from the one you assert. I am not saying you are wrong, but I am querying courteously your/our sensitivity to varied human environments.
