Wish they'd define wasted food. Do apple cores count? I hate waste & get anxious about the occasional portion of leftovers that doesn't get eaten in time. Also have a 'food waste' caddy, mainly for veg scraps, that gets emptied twice week... So what is measured as waste?

Thanks! So the estimated amount of waste includes inedible parts of food even if they are composted. It would be reasonable to try to adjust for this in estimates, since the problem being highlighted is really about edible food going uneaten (+ inedible food going to landfill)
