For the last two weeks, I had to mostly work at home. So I had time to read many papers and got so inspired. Really recharged myself.

One of the inspiring papers is by @EisenhauerLab about soil biodiversity, though I cannot access to their supporting info about their strategies of equitable solutions to realize global biodiversity monitoring... why? science.sciencemag.org/conte…

Another paper, which I (re)read in detail, is science.sciencemag.org/conte…. Now curious why this was necessary in addition to summary for policy makers of the global assessment of #IPBES. Is this because a #Science paper could be more influential than SPM? Just curiosity...

Good question! Authors of all IPBES Assessment Reports are strongly encouraged to communicate the findings of the Reports (once published) through as many channels and mechanisms as possible to help widen both reach & uptake. Leading journals are among those channels.

Thank you for your reply! I am inspired by both outcomes. I am a bit concerned... some contributed to the assessment but to the Science paper might have been a bit discouraged, as the journal is such an influential outlet. I personally respect different channels for biodiversity.
