I have had a set of tough nylon shopping bags that I had for 5 years before my sister stole 2 of them 10 years ago. 15 years- still going strong being used almost daily. Other bags I have ~10 years the latest I bought was last March I need never buy another if they weren't stolen

@keiohnowoodall Agree, however, recycling is also have limitations in terms of quality post recycling. The real issue must be addressed is of End of Life plastic which is dangerously affecting nature.
