Dear WEF/IPBES: Global GDP/cap rose by 75% just since 1990, not sure how this 15% consumption growth figure is derived? #consumption growth is a (the?) key driver behind these trends so it is important to list this together with #populationgrowth figures ourworldindata.org/grapher/g…

Hi Diana, thanks again for engaging with the evidence. In the Global Assessment, GDP & the consumption of materials are viewed as connected, yet de-coupled issues w/ separate variables More complete picture of the dynamics available in SPM/sections noted: ipbes.net/sites/default/file…

@WEF report says 80% of biodiversity is protected by #Indigenous Peoples. @IPBES report last May encouraged recognition of land rights and partnering with Indigenous & local communities whose vision of Nature represents the transformation you call for. Why are they missing here?

What really interests me is how little responsibility any person is willing to shoulder, and how a culture of exceptionalism is leading to a culture of shamelessness/blamelessness. Even researchers seem to be living relatively big lives despite watching the cost stack up daily.
