Yes they can. But as a comms professional, I see an oversight—too little focus by global research and conservation entities on ensuring broad media coverage of their own findings, which suggest how vital it is to recognize land rights and invest in local communities.

I truly believe that the biggest bang for your buck in terms of protecting the world’s remaining biodiversity is to protect the rights of #indigenouspeoples this is what non-indigenous peoples can help us in.
