Why not bring in elected leadership of indigenous peoples from tropical forest countries? Also, this discussion needs to expand to include other languages and cultures, perhaps by inviting language teachers to serve as translators who can make possible informal exchanges.

One of the main problems is perceiving biodiversity as 'resource' as opposed to flows of life of which we are a part. The ecophilosophical difference has profound consequences in sustained and flourishing life. Our western mindsets must alter.
