Just looking at earlier tweets from @IPBES and delighted to see national leaders like @EmmanuelMacron speak out strongly to support biodiversity & show willingness to tackle #ClimateChange and other threats.

Very happy mr. Macron uses the term 'intrinsic' to discuss the value of nature. I hope the discourse on this crucial term allows to understand nature as having value beyond that which it provides to humans, in and of itself. This could make nature a brother/sister, equal and free

On behalf of all @IPBES Members I want to extend a very special recognition to President @EmanuelMacron and our Executive Secretary Anne Larigauderie. The dialogue between science and decision making is the basis for taking the best actions for our future. Thank you very much!

As a French national, I say: beautifully said, @EmmanuelMacron, but will you walk your talk?

The EU parliament voted to greenlight up to 55 new fossil gas infrastructure projects. The French government support this decision (among so many environmentally disastrous measures). That's what we called #greenwashing?
