The African people r killing a most valuable resource, their animals known t/ world over w/ the various species all under threat.Has any1 thought of HUMAN BIRTH CONTROL or at least planning villages in a more condensed area,w/community farming, leaving t/ corridors free4 migration
I'm going to follow this with interest. The human/wildlife interface in areas of high biodiversity/endemicity is crucial and management is going to be complex.
We are currently facilitating preparation of participatory land use plans across all villages surrounding the Serengeti NP, we are very optimistic that the plans will help in reducing human population pressure to the park, alternatives econ activities&compatible uses near the NP
With the way of how population grows with a climate which is changing everyday, the situation is very alarming. But if the decision makers play their roles and all the stakeholders participate to the Development of projets, we can be optimistic.
Population growth being the tough issue
