Also often overlooked is the current ecological crisis, which would be happening even without climate change. The poor IPBES hardly gets a look-in compared to the IPCC 1.5 degree report, but is equally serious IMO. The combination is😱 . XR is not just about climate change.

Thanks for the concern but factually this is not fully accurate - the @IPBES #GlobalAssessment Report at least matched and on many metrics (especially in online and print media) outpaced the 1.5 Degrees Report.

With >33,000 online articles alone in more than 150 countries and 50 languages the #GlobalAssessment set new benchmarks for environmental media coverage. Should #biodiversity receive more coverage than it does? Of course!

That's encouraging to hear, and really thanks to all who made it happen. But I still feel that sometimes the dots are not being joined: we face a simultaneous climate and ecological crises whose impacts cannot be taken in isolation. You know that, of course, but needs repeating.
