When will the influencers realise that the socio-economic system is the force that drives destruction? Natural Capital ethic, philanthropy, G7 inequality - none attend to this fundamental fracture in human behaviour.

There’s no deep thought and critical re-evaluation of Western culture! Throwing money around? Capital that has been raised by the destruction of nature? Even words matter... nature as resource - fully guarantees commodification. Anthropocentrism must end!

@IPBES many ecophilosphers remain deeply concerned that BES/NatCap ethic rides roughshod across fundamental and critical human intrinsic values and most important, intrinsic value of life itself. I thought you had moved towards recognising this? Anthropocentrism fails all life.

thank you, much appreciated. Though am deeply concerned already by the BES-NatCap (et al) agenda at the G7. One of the main problems is that it overrides (is axiologically incommensurable with), intrinsic value in a neoliberal capitalist system. System change not commodification.
