In a country like India (with >1.35 billion population and frequent monsoon failure), subsidies and incentives are not a boost up to rise the profit of farmers, its for their subsistence.

EU #agriculture policy is a great example how 60 billion Euro p.a., that could be invested in transformative change (and thus to secure the future of farming and biodiversity) are instead locked in partly harmful, partly inefficient incentives. Vested interest block change.
