Dear IPBES, you should know that as long as you ask for "governments and interested stakeholders", you're excluding 90% of those with the knowledge you need. What's the hurdle? Your own protocols.

For IPBES the definition of a stakeholder is remarkably inclusive, incorporating anyone who can benefit from the work we do. In that sense, few people would *not* be a stakeholder: ipbes.net/stakeholders

Terminological obfuscation my dear fellows. We like what IPBES does, but how does a knowledge holder and interested stakeholder - who is not government, not UN and not intergovernment agency - get to contribute to your work regionally?

In short, apply! Any expert and any organization can apply to join these task forces and expert selection processes. IPBES is truly dedicated to being open and inclusive. Holders and users of Indigenous and Local Knowledge are very welcome and needed. bit.ly/TaskForceCall
