Think that #ClimateChange is the only crisis facing #Nature? The @IPBES #GlobalAssessment Report is the first to rank the relative impact of drivers of #biodiversity loss. 1. Land/Sea Use Change 2. Direct Exploitation 3. Climate Change 4. Pollution 5. Invasive Species

Already we are discussing the indirect drivers in #ValueAssessment Chapter Meeting

Only one primary driver for both the Biodiversity Crisis & Climate Crisis - people. Can't see it is possible to stop the rise in population or make enough of a shift to eusocial behaviour in time.

As a fact: the most invasive species is...us. The only measure to stop the increase of negative impact of our species on this planet is to stop our population growth.
We have to stop thinking about these as being separate crises or separate issues. They go hand-in-hand: destruction of life led to climate chaos, climate chaos destroys life. Thank you for this important contribution to our awareness.

ICYMI: A good graphic setting out the findings of the @IPBES report and the factors leading to biodiversity loss.
