Sorry for doing this: Unless we start getting nightmare modes for cozy games we shouldn't expect easy modes from challenging ones. Not every game should be made for everyone, nor do difficulty options unambiguously improve a game

Sure, though probably in most cases those would end up being close to a god mode. In part because From games, which this is often about, can already be made very easy, depending on your playstyle. Double Zimmermans + Double Songbirds + Tank Treads anyone?

Easy modes help more people access more games, which is definitely a good thing. If done right I don't see why they can't exist while respecting the creator's vision for the game. But it can be a tough balancing act, especially when some games are treated as bragging rights.

Every game HAS an easy mode. Not buying it.

Every game should give me the option for the game to play itself as I watch it as a personal Let's Play.

Every game should have a gameplay easy mode and a story easy mode. For example, the last of us part 2 should have a mode where Joel lives and Abby dies.

I think every game should have a super extremely easy mode. A mode so easy it overlaps back into extreme hard.

No, not every game should have an easy mode. Not every game should have anything. If the creator decides not to include something and that bothers some people, then they can just not play the game. Not every game should maximize the number of people that will enjoy it.

I have plenty of friends who just like to relax by playing a game on less than standard mode. That means if you get rid of easy mode, a company will lose money. So you have no case, and I won't follow.

*Actually* I believe every game *should* cater to my own specific skill level. I take it as a personal affront if a game has any form of difficulty and it is a developers obligation, nay *DUTY*, to appease me and my lack of ability.
