While I also find it a bit silly when people get overly defensive over this or other games for the slightest criticism, from experience, naysayers tend, on the whole, to be even more aggressive and mean-spirited (again, it's not just limited to FFXVI tbf)

I do agree that the game needs more rpg elements like status buffs and better equipment/items. However, I think elemental weaknesses is actually a terrible idea for this game. Each Eikon only has two abilities, the whole point is to combo off of them. Elemental damage limits it.

I love this game it’s got a 9/10 for me personally, but it could have done a lot of things better. So don’t feel bad for criticizing it.

Definitely not perfect. Lots of areas that can be improved. Still one of the best experiences in gaming tho.
