At least you actually played the game from start to finish. That's an achievement that most people failed to do before they started writing articles about why it sucks.

You're not wrong (Disclaimer: FFXVI is still a very good game, it's the second best game I've played this year don't kill me).

What's weird is I don't see as much for TOTK. Maybe the Nintendrones finally scared/creeped people enough to keep their mouths shut? ... Oh, who am I kidding? Nintendo themselves would take down reviews when they could. FYI, love TOTK a lot, meh to FF16.

This is an actually insightful constructive criticism review. HARD-FUCKING-DRIVE is better at games journalism than fucking Kotaku, Polygon & Eurogamer.

As someone who thinks it's game of the year, I admit it felt weird when I could use Ramuh against titan.

To be fair, the last good FF was [insert last one played in teen years], every other FF since was [insert generic complaint]. Square really went downhill since [event that has no bearing on game development]. I wish they went back to [my insecurities for having grown up].

It's an amazing game, but there are definitely several criticisms to be made of it (How the story handles female characters, the trivialised gear/weapon systems etc). Just wish some of the more over-zealous sectors of the fanbase were mature enough to handle that.
