Autosaving is naught-o-saving

Also games do autosaving differently so I never know when to trust

The worst games are those who do only autosave at certain checkpoints so you have to wait until the checkpoint is reached to leave the game, sometimes the checkpoint is next to where you are, sometimes it's 2h later, you never know

Who among us hasn't been burned by trusting autosave?

I still hard save even after autosaves. I can't break that.

Not only do I not trust autosave, I don't even trust my regular save. If given the option, I will also save & exit. Triple redundancy

Sometimes I'll go through the game, make a decision, and the game autosaves. I then experience the same feeling as pressing 'send' on an important text only to see that auto-correct made a disastrous mistake.
